Non-NHS services

The NHS does not pay for some of the services we provide. These include private sick notes, insurance forms, holiday cancellation forms, medical reports, fitness to travel certificates, private prescriptions and some vaccination services.

Our fees for these services, which are in line with BMA approved national guidelines are non-negotiable.

Please note, when a Doctor signs a certificate or completes a report, the Doctor needs to check the patient’s entire medical record to ensure that they are providing accurate information. Doctors will not be able to complete forms same day, so please ensure that you give them reasonable notice.

Repeat Prescriptions

Prescriptions can be ordered online via your online services account or with your paper repeat prescription request slip which needs to be placed in the prescriptions ordering box in reception. Your prescription will be ready for collection 48 hours later from your designated pharmacy. If you prefer, we can post it back to you (you will need to provide a stamped, addressed envelope).

We are sorry but we are unable to accept prescription requests on your behalf from a pharmacy, nor are we able to take them over the phone. This is due to patient safety.

If you are housebound or are recovering from an operation / illness please speak to a receptionist. We have a responsibility to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment.
